2 Wisconsin Donut Shops Crack Yelp’s Top 100

It’s just a FACT: The best way to start your day is with something sweet! And it’s even better when that treat is fried, frosted, and from a spot on Yelp’s 2025 list of “The 50 Best Donut Shops in America” 🏆

Two Wisconsin businesses made this year’s list!

🍩  Coming in at No. 26 is Greenbush Bakery in Madison. On March 1, 1996 — Marv “Donut Man” and Barb Miller took over a struggling donut shop in the shadow of Camp Randall Stadium. Their goal? To make the old-fashioned baked goods they grew up eating. Three decades later, their business is still going strong (and the only certified kitchen in the area)!

🍩  And sliding in at No. 48 is Cranky Al’s in Wauwatosa. Cranky’s is perhaps the only place where pizza and donuts live together in harmony. The shop sells both — although they’re best-known for their hand-cut donuts, which are made through a 7-step process that takes 13 hours! “Come for the doughnuts… sit with some coffee,” is their motto, as they serve “responsibly-sourced” coffee, too.
