Donald Trump and JD Vance have both spread lies that Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio are eating pets, leading to bomb and death threats in the town, classes being canceled, and even the Ku Klux Klan attempting to recruit. On Sunday, Vance admitted he spread the unfounded claims to get media attention. 

One centerpiece of that program is dozens of never-before-published videos created for Project 2025’s Presidential Administration Academy. The vast majority of these videos — 23 in all, totaling more than 14 hours of content — were provided to ProPublica and Documented by a person who had access to them.

A slew of racist, sexist, and outright bizarre conspiracy theories flooded the internet after Joe Biden decided to end his campaign and endorsed Kamala Harris for president.

Vance has compared abortion to murder and slavery, has criticized divorce, and has suggested people in “violent” marriages should try to work things out. He’s additionally said he wants to ban pornography, and has blamed a school shooting on “fatherlessness.”

Project 2025 calls for repealing the Inflation Reduction Act, which would cause millions of American seniors to pay more for their prescription drugs.

No-fault divorce laws have contributed to lower national rates of intimate partner violence, particularly against women. Some conservative leaders want to reinstate barriers to divorce by requiring “proof” of abuse or infidelity.
