As part of his ongoing quest to “Make America White Again,” Trump signed an executive order mandating all truck drivers speak English.

“You might not know, but there’s a lot of communication problems between truckers on the road with federal officials and local officials, which obviously is a public safety risk,” Trump’s press secretary told reporters, without providing ANY evidence, as usual.
“So we’re going to ensure that our truckers, who are the backbone of our economy, are all able to speak English. That’s a very commonsense policy,” she added.
What’s ACTUALLY common sense is WHY Trump is doing this: By mandating English, he’s limiting the number of jobs available to non-English-speaking (and often non-white) Americans.
Now, truckers who are unable to prove they are proficient in English will be “placed out-of-service” — aka fired.
In March, Trump signed a separate executive order that officially designated English as the national language of the United States.
